Brenda Galvan Aguirre is an attorney, social worker, and organizer from Somerton, Arizona. Brenda earned her juris doctor from Arizona Summit Law School. Before law school Brenda earned her Master of Social Work, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Chicana/o Studies from Arizona State University.
In addition to her educational and legal experience Brenda has a background in community and union organizing, and social justice program planning and administration.
Brenda completed a Justice AmeriCorps fellowship with the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project. While at the Project she worked in the children’s program representing unaccompanied minors in deportation proceedings. Brenda closed the children’s cases in immigration court putting a stop to their deportation proceedings. She also helped her young clients become permanent residents and reunite with their families.
Brenda currently represents adults in criminal matters, immigration removal and bond proceedings.
Brenda is a fourth generation Arizonan and has a passion for social justice and the law. Brenda resides in South Phoenix with her two four-legged children and her partner.
