Leslie Palomera is our lead Immigration Paralegal. She was born in Los Angeles, California, but lived in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico until the age of 15, which is when she permanently came back to the United States. Her experience of living the border town life style has shaped her into the woman that she is today, and it has given her the passion for social work and for helping immigrant families. “I am proud to be Mexican-American, Chicana, to have an education, and to be able to utilize it in positive ways in my community.” Leslie has degrees in Spanish Literature and Latino/a Chicano/a Arts and Humanities from the University of California, San Diego. Since graduating from college, she has been working with Non-Profit agencies, first with Chicanos Por La Causa in the Yuma, AZ area, and later on, with Catholic Charities serving the Phoenix population; both of these jobs have expanded her knowledge and experience of Immigration Law and Procedures and to work with immigrant and marginalized communities in Arizona. Throughout the past 7 years, she has helped reunite many families and has found solutions for clients who thought would never qualify for any immigration relief. “I love working with clients and helping them find permanent solutions to their immigration matters.” We are so excited to have Leslie as our lead Immigration Paralegal, not only does she have the heart and passion for the work, but many years of solid experience you can trust.
