Brad Smith earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas where he graduated with Phi Beta Kappa Academic Society honors. Mr. Smith received his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law where he was awarded the Payne and Jones Appellate Advocacy Scholarship and the Kansas State Bar Academic Scholarship. He moved to Arizona in 2001 and has been a practicing member of all Arizona state and Federal courts since then.
As a former prosecutor, Brad Smith understands both sides of the criminal justice system. A gifted litigator, Mr. Smith quickly rose within the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and prosecuted thousands of serious felony crimes during his time there. After his time prosecuting, Mr. Smith entered private practice and has aggressively represented those charged with serious crimes for nearly two decades.
