Born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua, Galilea Ayala developed a profound awareness of the injustices affecting her community from an early age. Witnessing systemic issues such as educational inequality, poverty, and violations of women’s rights ignited her passion for advocacy. In 2018, when a sociopolitical crisis shook her country, Galilea refused to remain silent. She took action—organizing her community and raising her voice against oppression. This defining experience strengthened her commitment to human rights, politics, and the legal fight for justice.

Forced to flee Nicaragua due to political persecution, Galilea embarked on a difficult journey as an immigrant, facing firsthand the struggles of families seeking safety and stability in the United States. Yet, even in the face of adversity, she remained unwavering in her mission to advocate for those who often go unheard. She is never afraid to speak out and take bold action in the fight for justice, knowing that real change requires courage.

As the Florida Operations Director at Ybarra Maldonado Law Group, Galilea continues her fight for immigrant rights.
